Kilcluney new Hall opening - 18th November 2017

I was invited to the opening of the new Kilcluney Orange hall and I wasn't long there before I met people from other bands each welcomed me with a hug. The band and lodge paraded from Markethill High school, stopping at the old Orange Hall where a short service of closing took place. The service was led by the Revd Nigel Reid.
The band and lodge then proceeded down the road to the new orange hall.
As they arrived at the new hall the band played a lovely version of In Christ Alone.
It was a cool day but after Edward Stevenson officially opened the new hall a service was held inside the fantastic new building which was lovely and warm. The service was led by the Revd Nigel Reid, with the lesson being read by Mrs Jill Hunter a Diocesan reader from the Mullabrack & Kilcluney Group of Parishes.
Revd Reid spoke about Christians being a new creation and also about Zacchaeus.
A plaque was unveiled by Edward Stevenson to mark the event.
After the service everyone was treated to a lovely tea.
