Cormeen Rising Sons of William parade is always the first of the season.
It
was one of the coldest nights ever. But the welcome and the friendship made
up for it. The bus was busy and we were given so many buns.
Gladys Cardwell had arrived on the 16th, laden down with buns. The boys loved
the top hats, then at the parade we got buns from James Johnston and his grandmother
Mina, then as ususal Joanne Burnside came laden down with all sort of stuff.
Then Artie
Shaw who was with one of the video guys, came in with more goodies, as did Michelle McDonald whose husband Richard also videos the parades.
Their thoughtfulness is really appreciated and thank you so very much.
You do things and forget you have done them but that thought means so much to someone.
It happened tonight on the bus and it was really moving. One small act can mean so much to
the person receiving it.
We also had on the bus our new Bibles which are sponsored by ICM Books and the covers
where put together by a few people but James Johnston did the majority of the work with a few thoughts
from Valerie, Ivan Walker and his dad Hans who did a great job. We gave away about 20 bibles
The bus was busy from early on,until the finish with loads of old friends revisiting us and new friend who
were on the bus for the first time.
Congrats to Cormeen for another great parade.
