Fund raising Concert in Armagh Orange Hall
25th May 2019

A fund raising concert was held in Armagh Orange Hall by Honor and Jaqui -two member of the team
going to Brazil in July with Valerie in association with the South American Mission Society.

The concert was a good success with bands giving freely of their time to support the cause.
The evening opened with Valerie welcoming everyone and telling a little about what the team plan to do
when they are in Brazil.

The first band of the evening was Synott flute band from Newtownhamilton, a band with members of all ages.
They started the evening with a series of hymns and then continued with marches. The second band of the evening were from outside Donacloney and the band is called Blackskull Orange and blue. Dedication is when one of your members turns up to play with a broken leg.
Next to take the floor were Ballymacall True Blues from between Pomeroy and Dungannon. More good music was provided by them. Ballymacall members and their families are great supporters of the Zacchaeus Project.

Thanks to Paul and the members of Drumderg Flute Band from Keady - again a band with members of all ages.
The last band to take the floor were Portadown Defenders who attended the concert after leading a church parade in Portadown. They concluded the evening by playing the National Anthem.
Thanks again for all the other people who attended and gave donations.
Our marching bands are a credit to our community.
